 A Special Experience for You

We like to create an individual portrait that isn’t just from a pre-defined set of poses, but captures the real you. A portrait will also be different depending on how it will be used. For example, they may be given to a loved one, put in an office or be used for PR, be part of a model portfolio, or hung on the wall at home.

The Planning Appointment

The Portrait experience starts with a Planning Appointment - a relaxed, comfortable chat where you meet Tony and discuss your vision and objectives – essentially how you want to be seen, and what the portrait is for. It also gives Tony a chance to get to know you and discuss ideas and agree an approach. This includes selecting a location and any “props” that give an insight into your character. For example a keen gardener might be taken in the garden, a golfer resting on a club with their favourite course in the background, a company director at work in their office, and so on. Of course we can offer plain white, black or coloured backgrounds if more appropriate.

There is no charge for this casual chat. Afterwards, you can book your sitting with a deposit. We even have a money back guarantee if you change your mind or something comes up.

The Sitting

The sitting will be arranged at a convenient time for you – even at weekends if that is best.

It will be at your chosen location – in your own home or office, in our own studio, or an external location.

A sitting typically has one to two hours devoted to you, including taking 30-70 photographs, clothing and lighting changes if you wish, and previewing pictures as they are taken. Sitting extensions can also be arranged to take more pictures or allow more changes if required.

And don't forget our guarantee! If you are not thrilled with your images, we will redo it or refund your money. Really.

The Viewing

Within a few days of your sitting you will return to look at the images we created with you.

The Viewing is also when you can consider canvas or traditional paper wall portraits. You can select a collection of images for an album or hard cover book. You can select different types of frame including traditional, block mounted, metallic, Perspex or other modern presentation frames. Sizes can range from simple 10x8 inch prints, up to 40”x80” (approx 1 metre x 2 metres). Larger sizes and special requirements can be arranged on request – including even backlit displays for indoor or outdoor use, advertising hoardings and building wraps!

Your viewing comes with its own guarantee too, that you will be thrilled with the results or the session fee will be refunded or the session redone! We are that confidant you will love what we create for you.

Post Production and Printing

You don’t see this, but it is a vital part of the process. This is where we work on your chosen images to make sure the colour is right, and to apply cosmetic improvements such as softening skin and giving ladies a fashion plate “glow”, removing wrinkles or unwanted blemishes before printing (to find out more, look here).

Wherever possible, we use the latest printing technology to produce pictures that will last for up to 100 years. And there’s the third part of our guarantee. If we have framed the photograph and it ever gets damaged, we will replace the photograph free of charge – regardless of fault – as long as we have the image on file.

All in all, a very exciting experience. You will be amazed at how relaxed and easy the whole adventure is.
